Natural Resources Inventory
Our staff has accumulated more than 30 years of experience inventorying and evaluating natural resources. Experience in this area varies widely from conservation farm planning to watershed assessment and planning. Resources that we frequently evaluate include land use, water resources, soil types, soil erosion rates, sedimentation, existing conservation practices, livestock effluent, nutrient management, and on-farm pollution potential. Often, assessments lead directly to implementation, though assessments can also culminate with written feasibility reports, recommendation reports, or grant proposals. In the Walnut Creek Watershed project in central Iowa, we appraised the needs of the watershed and proposed appropriate solutions.
