Survey Distribution & Analysis

In recent years, we have focused on development of several types of surveys, including demographic surveys, behavioral surveys, and satisfaction surveys. In 2007 Agren designed, mailed and analyzed demographic surveys to 2,000 absentee landowners in the Great Lakes Region. The response rate for the entire survey was 65%. Data collected from the surveys was instrumental in the development of educational and outreach methods to absentee landowners nationwide. Behavioral surveys have been used following several projects, including prescribed fire education and Farm*A*Syst, to determine whether a project resulted in actual changes in habits or behavior. In addition, we routinely create surveys that are completed by meeting and workshop participants to evaluate the event's content, value, level of expertise, and other relevant criteria.
